The GET-UP Film Series continues on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the Carriage House on Penn's campus. We'll be showing 1976's Bound for Glory, directed by Hal Ashby. This Woody Guthrie biopic won two Academy Awards, including an award for the film's score (adapted from Guthrie's songs). This screening, like all of GET-UP's screenings, is completely free to the public.
We'll be running an organizer training session the day before, Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 4:00 PM in the GET-UP Office. Come on down. It should be a lot of fun.

Petition for better PSIP
The Penn Student Insurance Plan (or PSIP) is the health insurance plan many Penn grad students use. GET-UP is currently running a campaign to get the Student Health Insurance Advisory Committee (or SHIAC) to seek new bids from health care providers in order to lower costs and improve care. Please contact a GET-UP member about signing our petition.
